The opportunity of the quarantine

This year 2020 starts in a very intense way !!!

In a few weeks, a great majority of the world finds itself in quarantine! Several Feng Shui masters, Ba Zi (Chinese astrology) had anticipated it, without knowing exactly what form it would take, but no one expected such force and such speed in its propagation!

According to Marie-Pierre Dillenseger, Feng Shui expert, speaker and author, the only way to slow down this powerful propagation of energy allowing the Coronavirus to spread so quickly is the implementation of the opposite energy, the energy Yin, achieved by quarantine. A calm force is then deployed in an unprecedented citizen effort. Everyone becomes an individual part of a community who will inevitably feel the consequences of our individual actions.

"Unity is strength", the motto of Belgium has never made more sense to me than it does now! Together we will get there! Let’s take care of each other by preserving our health and others. The coronavirus will pass faster if we join forces to go in the same direction! The current situation in the world reminds us of how small and fragile the human being is in the face of the forces of nature ... We tend to believe we are invincible, indestructible, forgetting that at the size of the universe we are small dust … After a few weeks of quarantine, the planet is already thanking us… let's continue that way! With this beautiful lesson of humility, let’s take the time to rethink our daily lives in a way that is sustainable and respectful of the planet and all the living beings that inhabit it.

All of a sudden, our homes are filling up and public spaces are becoming empty… Quickly, our streets, our neighborhoods, our cities, our countries are emptying of their usual activities and this energy usually deployed so freely, naturally outside calms down and concentrates in our homes where everything accelerates and intensifies! So, the external energy, usually a subtle blend of Yin Yang becomes more Yin.

This Yin energy that comes to us from the outside is, therefore, a calmer energy and conducive to introspection. This unprecedented health crisis gives us the opportunity to stay at home, to ask ourselves the right questions, to see what is important for us, our family and our work.

After a period of adjustment necessary for everyone to regain his or her balance, which was adversely affected by this pandemic, refocusing is therefore essential. Feng Shui and Chinese philosophy teach us that every human being is more productive when he knows how to listen and trust his intuition. Following the flow of energy and adapting to it rather than swimming against the stream, this is what Feng Shui and Ba Zi (Chinese astrology) encourage us to do to be productive and efficient by saving our forces. The goal of Feng Shui is to live as long as possible and to do so, we must use our resources at the right time by knowing our potential and the one of our housing. We must continue to work and children must continue to learn by maintaining a work and study routine, but we can ask ourselves some questions...

Do we have to maintain the same schedule as before?

What can we do differently to better go with the flow while respecting ourselves as well as others?

Apart from those who are on the front line for the care and treatment of the sick people or to maintain and supply the stores of primary necessity in operation - whom I thank from the bottom of my heart for their dedication - most of us have the luxury of being able to organize our days according to our needs and those of our family… Let’s take advantage of this to be more attentive to our body and our space…

Why not take quarantine as a gift, an opportunity to move forward, to reinvent ourselves, to create, to improve our relationships and the organization of the family or home, to sort through our stuff, to spend more time with our children, empower them in front of their space and their homework, do different activities together, etc.

A multitude of possibilities is available to anyone who wants to see the light in this dark period. Let’s choose lightness and a positive attitude! It is obviously legitimate to be afraid in the face of the extent of the crisis and its unpredictability and uncertainty… But is it useful and constructive to keep connected to the information continuously and to feed this fear constantly? Our choice is at that level… Finding the balance between awareness of the severity of this pandemic and our well-being… everything is a question of point of view and attitude.

Fueling the anxiety already generated by the information that the media relays to us will not reverse the pandemic… Staying at home, on the other hand, is effective and also the only constructive thing we can do right now, so let’s take care of ourselves, our loved ones, our homes, and be grateful to have a «home» where we can quarantine ourselves!
